Hi Stephanie – I wish I knew the exact shade. It’s a really pretty mint color, somewhat pistachio but more vibrant/clean than most pistachios. I would suspect Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore would be able to match…or perhaps the historical society in Atlanta might be able to give you the color details and tell you who offers it…I believe the space was renovated and repainted a few years ago, so someone down there has to have the paint info…
Earlier this year I was down in Atlanta for a project. After we wrapped up the project, I wanted to enjoy the city for another day or so. Besides shopping at Sid & Ann Mashburn, Pieces, and a handful of other shops, I went to one of Atlanta's finest historic homes (or mansions) - Swan House. It's a fantastic example of 1920-1930 Architecture and life in the area. I've included a couple of photos here, but you'll have to go in-person to see the hand painted chinoiserie and floral wallpapered dining room, wood paneled library, and the incredibly adorable bright blue/green kitchen. Truly a gorgeous home. Well worth a trip.
I was also enamoured with the Swan House. especially the ”mint green” living area. A tour guide told me that Sherwin Williams made this color especially for the owner’s wife. I contacted the Paint Co. and they said they never developoed a color for the Swan House. This is the first images of the room I have seen on line. Thank you for putting them up. I am trying to find out what color this green room is.??? Saying it was Mint Green is a help. Thank You! If you can tell me the exact color I would like to use it.
